What can young innovators create by combining Earth Observation, IoT and AI? The KijaniSpace Space-IoT Talent Training Programme is inviting aspiring innovators in Mwanza, Tanzania, to explore this potential through practical, technology-driven learning.
The programme goes beyond introducing participants to emerging technologies. It challenges them to apply Copernicus Earth Observation data, IoT, geospatial information and AI-enabled tools to real-world challenges in agriculture and aquaculture, particularly those relevant to the Lake Victoria Basin.
Participants will develop practical skills and explore the use of the Space-IoT Box, learning how different data sources can be integrated to create solutions such as satellite-based crop monitoring, sensor-supported aquaculture systems and digital agricultural services.
As a KijaniSpace project partner, Waziup contributes to the project’s broader mission of strengthening local capacity in Space-IoT technologies and empowering young people to develop solutions that respond to regional challenges.
The programme represents an opportunity to equip the next generation of innovators with the knowledge and practical experience needed to turn emerging technologies into meaningful applications for sustainable agriculture and aquaculture.
Applications are open for participants in Mwanza, Tanzania.
